What we're listening to: Durand Jones and The Indications.

We don't often do this. Introduce a current Album with a few notable exceptions - Kendricks 'Butterfly', Beyonce 'Lemonade', Leon Bridges, The Allergies 'Push on' - but when something new is out on here and the world stops, we like to bring it for your delectation.

And this, our friends, is one of those.

Thanks to the great John Kelly @lyricfm who just has a stunning music brain, we heard this and were blown away.

It's their 2016 Debut but only released really in 2017 and getting attention now.

When you look at the cover it has a 50's vibe and hear this and you'll think it's of that time. It's not. Try and find 'Groovy Baby' (very James Brown) on Spotify and Itunes and you'll get what we mean.

It's Funk, it's Soul and it's a resurgent sound that's simply, knockout. Few Albums stop us in our tracks but this one did. From Louisiana but recorded in a "dingy Indiana Basement" on a budget of, wait for it, $452 and that Deep South vibe shows.

You need to check it out.

"Is it any wonder" is the track that was most replayed in Streamabout, but it's all terrific. All of it.

They're on Tour as we speak, across Europe. See that here https://www.durandjonesandtheindications.com/tour/

Trust us - have we been wrong yet?
