What we're listening to: Earth Wind & Fire 'Greatest'

What? A 'Greatest Hits' Album? Well when you're dealing with 'Earth Wind and Fire' this is the way to go.

Soul, Funk, Jazz but pretty much Disco, from Chicago in the 1970s. 20 Grammy nominations, 90 million records sold, making them one of the best selling groups of all time! Surprised? Not really because they were the sound of the 70's.

You'll probably know 'Fantasy', 'Boogie Wonderland', 'After the love has gone', 'Let's Groove' but for sure, their great track, 'September'.

This is bringing it back to influences for bands like Daft Punk. It's heavy bass lines with great high vocals and harmonies. "Feel good music" but with great songwriting. These are happy songs but with a groove that's under produced for once - they let the song carry you and not the album production.

This 1998 Album is songs from 1973-81 and was updated as a 1999 release. That's the one to get.

Sun is Shining, Summer's here, Crank it up and if this doesn't get you going, you're dead. In Streamabout, it got them dancing. And that's good....

'Do you remember, the 21st night of September'.....
