You know when it says 'George Thorogood' it's authentic. The real deal.
Nevermind the best Band name ever in, 'The Destroyers' (which started as 'The Delaware Destroyers' and got shortened). In this Album too, probably one of the best cover designs ever. That's 2 evers in the one paragraph, pretty good.
You'll probably know George best for 'Bad to the Bone' but perhaps more so for, 'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer'. His current 2017 Album 'Party of One' is recommended for a great solo version of that Bourbon song, by the way.
This is blues, pure and simple, and his 15th Studio Album (his 'live' Albums are heartily recommended too and he's always playing live).
From 2011 it's a collection of covers by Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters (so you get the picture) and the excellent title track is a 'Rolling Stones' cover (whom he supported in 1981).
One track is called 'Bo Diddley'.
Buddy Guy and Charlie Musselwhite (demon harmonica playing on the title track) are on the record, recorded later as over-dubs. On the title track too, there's terrific Hammond organ which has Georgie Fame written all over it (but it's not). You can hear it at the end of this.
He's from Delaware born 1950 and his first Album was 1977.
You really have to like George. He's true and honest with his music and a huge baseball fan. So this is American heartland blues and this is a great Blues record.
Try this and see what you think...
