What we're listening to: Crowded House 'Woodface'

1991 and their third Album from which you have to know 'Weather with you'. It was the single that made the Album, made the Band.

'Fall at your feet', 'Chocolate Cake', 'Four Seasons in one Day' and 'It's only natural' were big songs too from this record, mostly written by brothers Neil and Tim Finn (who left the Band whilst touring this Album in fact).

From Melbourne Australia, they got local recognition with the song, 'Don't dream it's over' (which Paul Young covered) but this is the Album that brought them global attention. It's full of great melodies and great Production including the Finns on great harmonies.

Very much pop and very summery but in a good way. It was never huge, but always there, or thereabouts.

You might not have across it, so it's well worth a listen. Always reminds us here of 'World Party' for some reason. But when it goes on in Streamabout, everybody sings along. It's that kinda' good humoured record.

Have a listen. "Walking round the room singing Stormy Weather...."
